Anthyodaya Social Service Society is a nonprofit organization established in 2003 in Mudhol, Bagalkot (D), Karnataka. Our objectives aim to empower and uplift oppressed communities by addressing social, educational, and health challenges. We provide protection, education, and healthcare to marginalized children, especially from the Madiga and Devadasi communities, ensuring access to quality education and strengthening formal education systems. By empowering community-based organizations (CBOs), we combat harmful practices like the devadasi system, child marriage, child labor, and trafficking, while building their advocacy and lobbying capacities. We promote gender sensitivity and life skills among adolescents and encourage children’s participation in self-governance through initiatives like “Children’s Parliament” and “Kishori Sanghas.” Additionally, we raise awareness on education, social issues, and human rights, collaborating with like-minded NGOs to drive meaningful change.

Anthyodaya Social Service Society, along with the Kishori Sanghas, submitted a memorandum to the Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner seeking urgent measures to improve the health, education, and safety of adolescent girls and children. The memorandum requested the distribution of additional sanitary pads, the upgradation of school toilets, and the activation of Women and Child Protection Committees and Education Task Forces. It also urged the district administration to conduct a survey of school infrastructure under the RTE Act and address all identified deficiencies. The organization further requested a review of the implementation of children's demands raised in Special Gram Sabhas on Child Rights and regular health check-ups for adolescent girls in all schools. The memorandum appealed to the district administration to prioritize these demands and ensure proper treatment and nutritional support for girls suffering from malnutrition and anemia.
