50 children from the Mudhol Village that come under the Gram Panchayat limits participated in the “Makkala Grama Sabha” (children’s gram sabha) at Government Primary school ground and demanded immediate intervention of officials concerned in redressing their grievances.
By successfully listing out problems being faced by children, especially those living in rural areas, these children became a role models for their counterparts in other parts of the Taluka. Children raised their issues on child labor child marriage, dropouts, drinking water, compound, playground, teacher’s
scarcity, electricity, toilets, cleanliness, library, dilapidated classrooms, and other related issues.
